Maple Valley

Over 22-thousand people call Maple Valley home. There’s a strong sense of community here. Maple Valley is the kind of town that treasures neighbors and treats strangers as friends. Maple Valley has the largest listing of festivals and events in the area. Locals enjoy access to regional parks and trails and cherish the small-town feel that makes Maple Valley so special.
For golfing enthusiasts, there are five golf courses in the area. Many people enjoy the outdoors accessed by well maintained public trails. In the summer months, Maple Valley hosts a concert series in the park. The second weekend in June is Maple Valley Days with a parade, booths and many fun activities. Fishing in the lake opens late April and requires a State Fishing License.

Of special interest is the award-winning Lake Wilderness Lodge. Designed by a Seattle architectural firm, Young/Richardson/Carlson in 1950. It was awarded the highly prestigious "American Institute of Architecture and Washington State Award" It features a thirty-three-foot totem pole, surrounded by a spiral, floor-to-ceiling staircase.

The bustling cities of Seattle and Tacoma are within a 25-minute drive. Locals enjoy a little Seattle or Tacoma fun by seeing the sites, checking out the events, taking tours by bus, monorail, boat or plane.
